Spring has officially sprung! We’re packing up our bulky coats and getting excited for the warmer temperatures and spending more time outside.

Here are the steps to take to get your yard lush, blooming, and ready for spring enjoyment:

Prep Your Gardens & Flowerbeds

Spring and summer mean beautiful, fragrant flowers, dips in the pool, and eating veggies straight out of the garden. Start getting your garden ready for all the new plants by weeding, removing any dead plants (but don’t confuse these with perennials that will start growing again!), and topping off with a hearty mulch.

Clean Up The Yard

First step: a simple pickup. This means branches, toys, and anything that’s been left out on the lawn needs to be removed or put away to prep the grass.

Now’s the time to fertilize! As the ground thaws, it’s important to fertilize your lawn and gardens, while also employing a weed killer to prevent annoying pop-ups all season long.

Get The Pool Ready to Swim

It’s been sitting all winter, so now’s the time to skim and vacuum any grime and dirt that has accumulated. In addition to the pool, your accessories (pool floats, nets, covers, etc.) could use a rinse and wipe to get rid of winter dirt. Next, it’s time to get your water professionally tested as well, so it will be ready to dive in at the first sign of warm weather!
